The Company
A well regarded tier 1 fit out company that have been successfully completing fit out projects for well known builders in Sydney are looking for a Site Manager to deliver projects from $3 million - $60 million in value.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Take the lead role in the day-to-day management of on-site safety, including monitoring of site safety, completion of safety administration and a proactive approach to safety practices and rectification when required.
- Run the on-site budget and business processes relating to labour, overtime, small tools and hire equipment.
- Prepare the site programme and issue to relevant parties. Manage the day-to-day site activity in-accordance with the programme.
- Manage the day-to-day activity of subcontractors and site labour to the project plan and project documentation
- Ensure a high level of communication and teamwork through direct communications and on-site meetings.
- Consistently achieve and assist sub-contractors in their obligations to meet a high quality of workmanship
In be successful in this role you will:
- Be trade or degree qualified
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a site supervision role across a broad range of large commercial fit out and refurbishment projects (including planning, programming and the management of subcontractors and site labour)
- Understanding of project programming (particularly in relation to delivery to the program)
- Understanding of tasks and activities of a wide variety of building trades
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- In-depth knowledge of legislation, rules, regulations and standards relating to building sites (eg. industrial relations, HS&E, Workcover etc.)
- Well-developed ability to lead and motivate subcontractors
