ABOUT THE ROLE

An opportunity exists to join the “Commercial Services Team” working from one of our national offices. The role can be based in Parramatta (Sydney - NSW), Gosford (Central Coast - NSW), Fortitude Valley (Brisbane - QLD) or Melbourne (VIC).

The position is part of the Sergon Commercial Team, which manages Major Complex Loss, Commercial and Strata projects throughout Australia.  The person in the role will be responsible for administration, project coordination, file management and other tasks as required within the Commercial Team.

DUTIES

  • Communication with Building Consultants, Loss Adjusters, clients and other specialists for commercial projects;
  • Set up and management of electronic project files;
  • Management of time recording of the Commercial Services team;
  • Engagement, coordination and account processing for specialist services engaged;
  • Assistance with building approvals, tender management, construction management, including project monitoring and reporting;
  • Preparation and issue of Commercial Services billing to clients; and
  • General assistance to Commercial Services Team to manage a range of projects in the insurance and private sectors.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience and/or education in the construction industry;
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs;
  • Well presented with excellent written & verbal communication skills;
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a fast paced, high performing team;
  • Professional attitude, excellent organisational and time management skills; and
  • Be highly motivated with a drive to achieve outstanding results.

Preferable Experience and Skills:

  • Insurance industry and construction administrational experience; and
  • Lotus notes and/or data based file management software experience.

The salary package offered to the successful candidate will be commensurate with skills and experience.
