The Role
AECOM has a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Principal Quantity Surveyor/Senior Associate QS in our Melbourne team. You will be working within a highly driven and motivated team managing QS activities on some of Victoria’s largest and most iconic projects. We have a growing civil and infrastructure cost estimating capability that both supports AECOM’s internal groups, but also provides key external clients with cost consulting advice.
Role Responsibilities:
- Project Management and Client relationship management
- Cost planning and estimating during design and documentation phases.
- Construction phase cost management including assessing contractor's monthly progress claims, assessing variations and claims, and monthly financial reporting.
- Reporting - formally and informally.
- Contributing to business development initiatives.
- Cost advice for business cases and feasibility studies
About You
We are looking for someone with a solid background in consulting who shares our passion for delivering high quality consulting services to our clients.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years quantity surveying experience and be a natural team player who is motivated and has proven technical skills in the following areas:
- Cost planning, and contract administration.
- Highly driven and client focused.
- Proficient with computer based quantity surveying and cost management software.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
