About the Company
My client is one of Melbourne most exciting builders with a great reputation by delivering challenging projects. My client has a focus on smaller boutique projects valued up to $30m. The division has already delivered a number of high profile projects and are looking to grow headcount. This is a unique role to join a company focused on smaller projects but with professional processes and systems.
About the Role
The Directors of the company are passionate, progressive and above all professional and as part of their next stage of growth they are now seeking to appoint a Construction Manager to join the team and assist in the delivery of these projects. As Construction Manager you will look after 2 projects concurrently.
Duties
As Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing all time, budget and quality aspects of the building project, look after the project team, as well as looking after the financials. You will run the project but have the support and guidance from the director. Your core duties in this role will encompass:
- Construction Programming
- Client & Stakeholder Liaison
- Managing Site Teams and Personnel
- Ensuring best practise in QA, OH&S and IR
- Subcontract management and Labour Resourcing
The Candidate
The right candidate will be a proven Project Management experience with between 3-6 years experience. You will be someone that has the attributes and desire to take the next step into a CM role.
Other core skills will include:
- Procure, package and negotiate sub-contracts through to final account
- Administration of all claims, variations, progress payments and contract correspondence
- Strong budget management and reporting
Accurate preparation of monthly management reports
This is a fantastic role for someone to take the next step in their career and begin managing projects outright, or for a more experienced individual to join a professional company that is growing! A salary package in the $150-200k range is available, dependent upon experience.
