About the business and the role
Halls Fripp Surveying Pty. Ltd. is a well recognised business within the civil construction sector, working throughout South East Queensland for over 20 years. We are currently engaged in several main road projects (TMR) in the Brisbane region. The position available is for an experienced field surveyor/technician who is seeking to work in a small company that prides itself on providing the highest level of quality and service to its clients. Job tasks and responsibilities
The successful applicants
- Must be able to efficiently set out works and verification surveys
- Must be competent to carry out all survey work as an individual
- Undertake feature and control surveys
- Perform other duties as requested by management
- Report to the Project's Survey Manager
Skills and experience
To be considered for this positions you MUST possess
- Minimum 5 years surveying experience, preferably in the civil construction industry
- A current Driver's License an a excellent driving history
- Engineering plan reading and intrepreting skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills and inter-personal skills
- Understanding and full operational knowledge GPS and traditional surveying methods
- A knowledge and understanding of civil works process
- The ability to work independently and as a part of a team
The following skills/experience will also be highly regarded
- Experience with Leica and Trimble Total Stations and GPS Rovers
- Registration/ Certification as an Engineering Surveyor with SBQ or SSSI
- TMR project experience
- 12D Survey Software experience
- Experience with machine control both Trimble and Topcon
