Salini Impregilo S.p.A, an industrial Group specialising in the construction of major, complex projects throughout the world, and NRW Civil and Mining, a leading provider of diversified services to the resources and public infrastructure sectors, are jointly delivering one of Western Australia's most transformational public transport projects, the Forrestfield-Airport Link.
Salini Australia Pty Ltd are providing services to the JV and are seeking experienced TBM Operator / TBM Technicians who have had exposure to major tunnelling/ metro projects with exposure to mixed shield TBM’s to join our Forrestfield Airport Link project.
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to complete cutting head and cutting tool inspections
- Ensure proper alignment and driving during TBM operations
- Complete daily maintenance and routine repairs to TBM
- Ensure timely progress of work according to schedule and plans.
- Ability to perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
- Required to familiarize themselves with the approved emergency procedures, contingency plans, communication procedures and rescue plans.
We are seeking a candidate with the following profile:
- Minimum of 3 years (5 years preferred) of relevant experience operating TBM’s for major underground Tunneling Projects.
- In-depth knowledge in the mechanics (including hydraulics) within the TBM, with the ability to trouble shoot any problems that may be encountered
- Experience operating Herrenknecht TBM and the use of VMT Tunnel Guidance Systems
- TBM experience with slurry style waste disposal systems is highly regarded
- Construction White Card
- Health and Safety focused
