ABOUT THE ROLE
As Leading Hand you will work across multiple Concrete Recycling & Contract Crushing sites in metropolitan Melbourne and report directly to Site Supervisors in a hands-on role with the day-to-day operations and management of the recycling site. This role is best suited to someone with experience in the quarry and/or concrete recycling industry.
To be successful in this position you will possess the following skills or attributes:
• Understanding of crushing plant and concrete recycling operations
• Competent operations of a variety of earth moving and recycling equipment
• Exceptional attitude towards implementing safety and quality processes
• Planning and organisational skills
• Effective communication skills to manage various site operations, supplier/subcontractors and personnel
Key responsibilities include:
• Completing day-to-day site operation tasks as directed by the Site Supervisor.
• Fill site operational roles as necessary - fixed plant, mobile plant, weighbridge etc.
• Complete basic site administration tasks and liaise with weighbridge/administrator.
• Maintain processing and production of the site.
• Liaise between Site Supervisor and Site Personnel.
• Ensure implementation of management systems - quality, safety and environmental.
• Ensuring all OH&S, EPA and other site compliance obligations are fulfilled.
• Undertake Site Supervisor role as/when required.

A valid driver’s licence, relevant plant operator tickets and the ability to pass a pre-employment medical check, including a drug and alcohol test, are mandatory requirements.
