Your new Role
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join a progressive and forward thinking company. Reporting to the Board and Regional Manager you will be responsible for all High Rise and Residential Developments across QLD, NSW and VIC. You will work extremely closely wit all divisions within the group to ensure a safe working environment on each and every project.
Duties
- Continual development, improvement and implementation of the company’s Work, Health Safety Management System
- Determination of and adherence to HSE legal and standard requirements including WH&S Act & Regulations, Environmental Protection Act & Regulations
- Provide guidance on all matters of safety to all workplaces
- Complete review process of the company’s WHSMS to ensure continuous improvement
- Complete internal and external audits and provide support in closing out any action raised to ensure continuous system improvement
- Provide assistance in implementation of the company’s Workplace Safety Management Plan into new projects
- Participate in planning and design of all construction high risk activities
- Ensure appropriate records are kept in association with the safety management system and legal requirements
- Complete monthly HSE Reports for Construction Managers and HSE Reports to the Board every 2-3 months
- Complete Property Risk Reports for Development Managers
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Minimum Diploma in WHS
- Current First Aid / CPR and ideally Occupational First Aid
- Cert IV Training and Assessment
- Holder of various high risk work licences
- Previous experience in a Senior Safety Role with proven results
- Excellent Communication Skills and ability to liaise with external stakeholders
- Experience in auditing WHSMS and workplace safety training
