About the Role
You will lead, manage and develop a multi-disciplinary team of 68 FTE to provide a high standard of excellence in our approach to delivering services to our diverse region spanning 38,000 square kilometres.
Reporting to the General Manager (Corporate Services), you will:
- identify and implement new project opportunities to enhance our regions liveability and connect our people regionally;
- deliver outstanding customer services internally and externally to ensure WDRC achieves its strategic, financial, sustainability and social objectives;
- be responsible for building a motivated and high performing cohesive team;
- develop and implement WDRC's Asset Management plan for key assets;
- provide advice and assistance with business analysis and prepare business cases including funding; and
- develop the strategic and operational plans for the Facilities function to ensure our residents enjoy the benefits of modern infrastructure and quality services.
About you
To be a successful applicant, you will have:
- a relevant degree in one or more fields appropriate to the role or be able to demonstrate related experience;
- senior management experience and knowledge of business management practices, risk management, budget monitoring, service agreements and contractor performance management in large complex organisations;
- demonstrated capability of leading the delivery of capital intensive and customer focussed essential services in a large geographical area;
- demonstrated ability and comprehensive understanding of architectural and engineering plans and specifications, building and open spaces leases and licenses; and
- extensive knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, Acts, Codes and Regulations in relation to building compliance.
