About the Company
Our client is a Civil Engineering company focused on the best technological practices to provide quality asphalt surfacing products for pavement and road requirements. Being a small to medium company, they focus on people development and recognition of good performance. Career opportunities and overseas travel will be available.
They are located in Somerton and looking for a motivated Asphalt Operative 2IC to Construction Project Manager to grow within the business.
About the role
Your responsibilities include but is not limited to:
- Ensure the day to day organisation and running of the Asphalt Crew
- Develop and maintain relationships with all clients
- Ensure all the relevant Asphalt laying records are correct
- Liaise with the Operations Coordinator and Asphalt Plant Operator to ensure the project requirements and deadlines
- Promote a positive attitude in regards to Health, Safety, and Environment in line with policies, rules, and procedures
- Operate Heavy Rigid, Skidsteer, Paver and Rollers
- Identify areas where key staff requires up-skilling becoming multi-disciplined team members
The pay rate will depend on your previous experience and qualifications. You will work on a day shift from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, overtime, weekends and overseas travel available depending on job requirements and performance.
About you
Your skills and qualifications will be expected as:
- Previous experience with Construction or Asphalt Projects
- Current drivers and HR licence, white card and tickets to operate equipment in a Construction site
- Experience operating Skidsteer, Paver, Heavy Rigid and Rollers (both Steel and Multi tyred) will be highly demanded
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and punctuality
- Customer service and strong communication skills
- People management skills
- Positive attitude, desire to grow and committed to work is a must
