From delivering Australia’s largest wind farm to being the country’s leading contractor for road duplications, to being a long-term partner on major nationwide infrastructure projects such as NBN’s National Broadband Rollout, we deliver complex, multidisciplinary projects in numerous sectors. Because of the significant pipeline of work in the region, WBHO is looking for an experienced project manager to become part of the team delivering exciting infrastructure projects in Central Queensland.
The Project
The project includes the extension and construction of overtaking lanes, intersection upgrades, formation widening and associated safety works. The scope includes roadworks, earthworks, drainage, bitumen surfacing, traffic management and road lighting.
Your Role
As part of the management team, you will be based on site, ensuring, ensure project objectives are met. This roles is open to suitably qualified and experienced local of the area or as a FIFO/DIDO option on a roster basis. You will be required to work Mon-Fri. This position commences immediately.
Key Tasks
- Manage project works under various clients before time and under budget value
- Responsible for the procurement of all plant, material and facilities
- Co-ordination of all subcontractors and suppliers
- Programme and schedule of manpower to meet with project requirements
- Liaise with and direct supervisors, leading hands and project staff in the overall co-ordination of the works
- Work closely with the client in providing design and constructability systems to maximise project productivity
- Ensure strict health & safety procedures adhered to resulting in 0% accidents.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in executing similar works on TMR projects
- Ability to grow and maintain strong relationships through excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organisation and time management skills
- Strong grasp of cost reporting
