At Transurban, the Network Performance, Projects and Maintenance teams work hard to maintain and support over 13 roads and tunnels across Australia. As our networks continue to grow, we have an increased demand for highly organised and methodical individuals to assist with the co-ordination of maintenance and improvement works for CityLink. In this newly created position, the Works Planning Coordinator role will develop a coordination framework through which Transurban and its contractors can meet their respective legal and HSE duties to provide a safe working environment. Additionally, this role will assist in the safe scheduling of works, aiming to enhance customer experience on CityLink whilst mitigating risks on the network.

Reporting to the Road Network Optimisation Manager, the Works Planning Coordinator will oversee multiple projects and activities from a risk, safety and timeframe perspective and assist in permitting and scheduling works. You will liaise with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally, to ensure schedules are maintained while promoting a safe, risk free, environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about safety coupled with strong administration and planning skills.

The impact you’ll have:

• You’ll develop and implement a coordination framework to manage interface risks arising from any CityLink works (in tunnels, open road and off road).
• With your excellent communication skills, you’ll prepare and communicate all shut down coordination plans with the Maintenance Scheduler.
• Working closely with the HSE advisor, you’ll be an active member in promoting safe working practices in meetings and will assist in completing risk assessments
• Using your strong reporting skills, you’ll create weekly and monthly performance reports and relay feedback to key stakeholders
• You’ll identify process improvement opportunities for the Network Performance and Maintenance teams by creating detailed scheduling plans

The talents you’ll bring:

• Well-developed skills in preparing procedural and process documentation
• Strong planning and organising skills
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving, self-motivation and the ability to work in a team environment
• A keen interest in HSE within high risk work activities and experience in undertaking risk assessment activities
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project applications
