An opportunity has arisen for a trainee frame and truss detailer to become part of a dynamic, growing steel frame and truss manufacturer.
About the opportunity
Supplying builders, developers and home owners across NSW with steel frames and trusses, this company prides itself on providing a product and service that is second to none.
As a result of an increase in output, the company requires an experienced frame and truss detailer to join the team full time.
About the role
The role will see you learn the ins and outs of frame and truss detailing which will enable you to design and detail steel wall frames, flooring systems, and trusses which will then be manufactured in our state of art roll-forming facility.
Additional responsibilities include quoting and liaising with customers, engineers and site supervisors to discuss job specifics.
About you
The successful applicant must have
- Have strong experience in drafting and using AutoCad or CAD based software
- Be competent in reading and interpreting architectural/engineering drawings
- Have an understanding of general construction processes and principles
- Have a high level of attention to detail.
- Advanced computer skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail, accuracy and good communication skills are essential to this role. You must also have strong commitment to learning a new software package and able to work with others to meet deadlines.
Full training will be provided to the successful candidate, as well as ongoing assistance and mentoring.
