Contract Administrator
AKA Industries are seeking an experienced CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR to join our growing civil company. This is a full-time position, and an immediate start for the right candidate.
AKA Industries is a family operated Civil business which focus' on bulk excavation, shoring works, remediation, demolition and many more.
We are currently seeking a full time Contracts Administrator to join our team who is able to adapt to unique and challenging environments, is willing to take ownership of issues and solutions, adapt a unique proactive approach to their line of work and has the drive to develop professionally within a growth environment.
About the role
- Review scope of works and contracts for successful tenders
- Manage the implementation of the contractual and financial procedures for each project
- Ensure accurate and up to date cost control reporting of projects, including recording and monitoring and achieving project profitably
- Coordinate with the construction team to perform site administration to aid running of projects
- manage project claims, EOT, variations etc providing supporting documentation
- Produce, issue and monitor progress claims to clients
- Procure subcontractors and suppliers
- Review, analyse and administer subcontract packages
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Civil/Building/Construction Engineering
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
- A technical working knowledge of major building trades such as excavation, piling, shotcrete and formwork is essential
- Have a sound understanding of construction practices, sequencing of methodology and be experienced in the process of scoping and letting trade, and supply subcontracts.
- Knowledge of both pre and post contract with claims experience
- Highly motivated and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft office Suite
- Previous experience in a similar contract administration role in the construction industry
