GMA Environmental Services provides maintenance services predominantly to Water Authorities in Australia and we are currently seeking a HSEQ Manager to oversee the ongoing development and implementation of the Company’s day-to-day provision of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality support, advice and training.

Reporting to the Managing Director the main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Quality Management - Ensuring the ongoing certification of the Quality Management System and that it is documented in accordance with requirements of ISO 9001
2. Health & Safety Management - Ensuring the ongoing certification of the Health and Safety Management System and that it is documented in accordance with the requirements of AS/NZS 4801 and ISO 18001.
3. Environmental Management - Ensuring the ongoing certification of the Environmental Management System and that it is documented in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001
4. Risk Management - Provide information and guidance to Managing Director, Managers, Supervisors, HSR’s, the HSE Committee on a variety of risks and hazards across the organization and ensure risk registers and related records are maintained and updated as required when changes occur.

This work will include:

• Implementing these systems throughout the organization
• Actively participating in related internal & external audits;
• Actively undertaking workplace inspections
• Maintenance review and verification of all related quality monitoring records.
• Undertaking GMA Induction to new employees including assessment.
• Organization of workplace training and related documentation
• Assistance in the preparation of tender submissions

The successful applicant must have:

• The Qualifications, experience and knowledge of Quality Management and ISO 9001, Health & Safety Management and AS/NZS 4801 and ISO 18001, Environmental Management and ISO 14001 and Risk Management as it relates to the Water & Wastewater Industry
• Previous experience in the water & wastewater industry is highly desirable  

 This is a full-time position but flexible hours are also available to a suitable candidate.
