A 2-year Senior Project Manager job to deliver building projects in an outstanding Council environment
Your new company
A Local Council situated in Melbourne's North is seeking a Senior Building Project Managers to deliver end-to-end capital projects for a 2-year fixed-term role, to pavilions, community centres, sporting precincts, lighting projects, and Council assets.
Your new role
You will be responsible for overseeing building projects from end to end, with a focus on new build and greenfield projects, as well as some refurbishment works. This end to end process will include:
- Generating project briefs
- Bringing projects though design and development phase
- Preparing tender documents
- Engaging with Consultants and contractors
- Overseeing construction
- Overseeing contract management
- Managing defects/liability periods
What you'll need to succeed
To experience success in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in completing end-to-end capital works building projects. You must complete the Key Selection Criteria in order to be considered.
You must also:
- Possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Have a customer-driven mindset to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Be proactive and work within Local Government procurement processes
- Be approachable, friendly and willing to collaborate effectively with others
- A technical qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field will be highly advantageous
