Safety Advisor -National Builder - Brisbane Commercial - CBD Project

HRS is currently recruiting for an experienced Safety Advisor for our client a national head builder. This is a live role!!!

They deliver projects in the New Build, Refurbishment and Fit Out spaces throughout a diverse range of sectors not limited to but including; retail, residential, commercial, education and government sectors. They have had a consistent growth in projects across all capital cities and regional locations and a reputation for winning work this is the opportunity for a long-term role in a company with a fantastic culture and retention status.

The Role

As an experienced Safety Advisor, you will be required to oversee safety across a High-Rise project situated in the Brisbane CBD and work closely with the site team to ensure safety and compliance on the project to its completion. Reporting to the National Safety Manager and working in-conjunction with the Project Manager looking at safety through planning stages and delivery.

• Developing SWMS and Safe Work Instruction in line with legislative requirements
• Reporting site safety performance in-line with company OHS management systems
• Maintaining and implementing the Project's WHS policy, management plans, systems and procedures
• Conducting regular site inspections, reviews and audits to schedule
• Incident reporting and investigation
• Providing guidance and safety support to the Project Team
• Conducting inductions, tool box talks and corrective action follow ups 

To be successful you will possess the following desired criteria:

• Qualification in WHS.
• Minimum of ‘5 years’ experience in construction
• Demonstrated ability in similar projects (Tower Crane experience crucial)
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• IR Experience is also essential
• Manage Site Safety and able to work autonomously
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to conduct site inductions
• Good computer literacy
• Team player
