Piling Victoria is a private company based in the South East suburbs of Melbourne that provides foundation solutions for a large number of Victoria's major domestic builders.
Applicants MUST HAVE
- Valid Excavator Plant License with at least 2 years Experience
- Current Construction Industry Induction Card - White Card (previously Red Card)
- Heavy Rigid (Syncro) Truck License
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, detailed engineering drawings and the ability to understand levels.
The Role
You will be joining a company that prides itself on producing quality work and are well known for this within the industry.
This is a full time position and in your roll you will be responsible for:
- Operation and General Maintenance of a 5.5 tonne Excavator
- Transporting Excavator and Piles to site
- Installation of Steel Screw Piles
- Cutting of Screw Piles using a grinder and/or Oxy/Acetylene Torch
- Digging of strip footings & slotted piers
- Drilling holes/piers
- General Site preparation and excavation works
- Reading and Interpreting Plans
- Marking out pile locations
- Filling out piling installation logs
- Motivating and directing junior staff.
The Person
This role is suited to persons that have had previous experience in residential construction.
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Ability to interpret plans and engineering details
- Follow instructions and act accordingly with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with laser levels
- Excellent communication skills
- Sound knowledge of OHS procedures
- A 'can-do' work ethic
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well in a team or autonomously
Previous screw piling experience preferred but not essential. Piling installation training will be provided.
This is for a 5 day a week position as Permanent Casual.
Full Time after 12 months.
