Our client is a national fit out and refurbishment business currently delivering over $140 million in building projects annually. They pride themselves on their strong relationships with their clients and employees meaning great retention with their staff and ongoing and repeat client business.

Your role will be to safely manage quality and timely projects up to $10 million.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

• Successfully deliver multiple projects simultaneously from pre-construction through to hand over
• Deliver projects in accordance to building specifications, standards and manage the specific contractual requirements
• Manage tender interviews, letting of contracts; including subcontractor negotiations
• Manage WHS&E responsibilities for the project(s)
• Manage the financial responsibility of the project(s)
• Generate construction programmes to ensure detailed planning of safety, resources, time, costs and quality
• Deliver your project(s) to the highest standard of client satisfaction and quality
• Manage the performance of the project team and be responsible for the development and mentoring of the project team

In order to be the successful candidate for the position – you will ideally have:

• Relevant fit out/ refurb experience in a similar role
• Strong financial acumen and communication skills
• Strong understanding of project management within the building and construction industry, and fit-out and refurbishment
• Understanding of specifications and drawings for accuracy and build ability
• Excellent knowledge of WHS&E principles
• Construction or building related degree or diploma, or trade background
• Current Building License
