MSP Engineering projects will be remembered historically as a turning point in Lithium production in Australia and we seek applications from people who are inspired by this opportunity and in joining the team as Construction Manager.
Your role will manage the structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) package with the sub-contractor, is responsible for managing site finishing works, piping works and the electrical and instrumentation, and control the completions of construction and construction support during commissioning.
The overarching responsibilities include developing and maintaining a powerful safety, health, environment and community.
Your role:
- Leading, managing and directing all contractors’ activities.
- Developing the Safety and Environmental Management Plan.
- Ensuring all sub-contractors comply with conditions of site entry and HSE Legislation.
- Providing guidance, motivation and resources to achieve the safety goals and initiatives.
- Managing and reporting of site variations and associated site cost.
- Meeting milestones, deliverables, and progress reported.
- Managing extension of time and variations claims with commercial support.
- Dealing with technical query and clarification processes efficiently.
- Assuring that the project meets and exceeds the KPI’s.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as Site Superintendent or Construction Manager in a multidiscipline construction environment.
- EPCM projects experience is critical within mining or minerals industry.
- Degree in Engineering with design management experience highly desirable.
- Advanced commercial and constructs administration experience.
- Successful leadership skills and experience coupled with strong communication to ensure continuous engagement with a motivated and focused workforce.
- Ability to respond to changing priorities in a positive manner, with excellent time management skills.
- Confidence in dealing with complex issues and ability to problem solve issues in a logical manner based on facts.
- Skilled to hit the ground running as a highly motivated self-starter who can work in a fluid and dynamic environment.
The position is available for immediate start for the appropriate candidate and engaged on a maximum term contract.
