The Company:

Highly regarded and well established residential builder. This company is widely recognised for quality projects and have won several awards over their history. They pride themselves on satisfying their clients from initial design consultation through all facets of the construction process. Delivering a high level of craftsmanship and personal commitment to every project, and specialise across multi-units, residential and commercial developments.

The Role:

• Present costings to the Management Team for review and confirmation prior to finalizing.
• Apply margin to project costs as agreed with the Management Team.
• Create a trade breakdown to record anticipated job costs by trade cost centre codes and identify tendered project margin.
• Price variations where required, to document agreed changes to scope of works, plans and specifications.
• Identify opportunities for value management with the Management Team and propose alternate items of specification or alternate suppliers to achieve cost savings on behalf of the company and the client.
• Negotiate pricing with sub-contractors and suppliers;
• Preparing BOQ's for above projects including preparation of tender documentation for developer submission and consideration;
• Ensure that all components of the project are accounted for in the final tender document;
• Effective and efficient communication with internal & external parties.
• Creating and administrating Bill of Quantities /Purchase Orders /Variations

  
What you will need to be successful:

• Minimum 2-3 years project (residential) Production Estimating Experience
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and construction related Australian standards;
• Knowledge of domestic and light commercial construction processes.
• Competent in Data Build
• Previous local experience and background working within the Residential Construction sector in Australia
• Demonstrated business acumen.
• Ability to perform as part of a team.
• Organisational skills with a strong ability to multi-task across a variety of activity;
• Experience delivering Medium Density developments is ideal!!
