With the backing of some of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, this highly respected operator is pressing forward with their plans to execute a multibillion CSG development. They have access to some of the richest coal seam gas tenements across Queensland and are heavily investing into the exploration and development teams. The fundamental success of this project lies with securing and extracting a sustainable supply of gas, which must be done economically. With this acknowledgement they have a newly created position for a Contract Specialist Construction Facilities.
 
A core component of this position will be to provide Pre-Award, Post Award and Compliance administration across drilling and completion service agreements. You will find yourself reporting into the Manager CP Engineering & Construction while based in their Brisbane office.
 
Your accountabilities will include:

• Preparation and presentation of category management plans, go to market approach, supplier
• benchmarking and any other category analysis
• Conduct tender and sourcing processes, develop and analyse tender and contract
• Documentation
• Carry out pre-qualification (including development of questionnaires, evaluation criteria, matrices and coordination of evaluation process)
• Drafting contract requirements (special terms and conditions) in conformance with international and local legislation
• Tracking and management of contractual spend, contract burn rate, HSE banding and contract expiry
• Ensure reporting of contract portfolio is efficiently managed on a regular basis. These reports
• may include specific shareholders requests, weekly and monthly strategy forecast

 
To be considered for this opportunity, your background and qualifications will include:

• Minimum 8 years’ experience working with contemporary procurement practices within a global
• organisation incorporating knowledge of capital project requirements, driving CP opportunities,
• executing and improving CP processes and systems.
• Minimum 5 years experience in developing, procuring, executing and administering Construction
• Contracts (Upstream CSG is preferable)
• Demonstrated knowledge of suppliers, supply chains, market analysis, and cost models within the
• Oil and Gas Industry
• Skilled at formulating supplier management, innovation strategy, executing opportunities and
• achieving commercial outcomes through effective negotiation.
• High level of commercial aptitude and demonstrated ability to develop supplier agreements and to
• effectively monitor and manage supplier performance aligned with business demand
• Knowledge of SAP to effectively create contracts and raise Purchase Orders
