About the business and the role

We are an electrical infrastructure business providing services to a vast number of tier 1 design and construction companies, government agencies, councils and entity owners.  With a geographical footprint on the eastern seaboard, we are exposed to an extensive range of diverse and often high profile projects.

The last 12 months have been a great success for the company, significantly expanding our client base and project portfolio. This means that we are now seeking a highly motivated, hands on civil supervisor who has experience on both small and large projects, running multiple civil crews, managing subcontractors, managing materials & stock and interfacing with the client on a regular basis.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Here are just a few of the things you will be doing:

• Materials management
• Overseeing civil works installations
• Overseeing subcontractors
• Client interfacing
• Leading a civil works team
• Working with electrical teams
• Reporting to Project Manager
• Reading, interpreting, induction into and following construction documentation, method statements and procedures, toolbox, OHS documentation, etc.
• Working within SWMS with the intention of zero incidents
• Performing works on both day shift and night shift;
• Working away as required
• Skills and experience

We are sure you are more than qualified but just to be sure here is what we are looking for you to bring to the table:

• Have worked as a civil supervisor or similar (preferably within the electrical and/or communications sectors)
• Have worked as a civil leading hand or similar (preferably within the electrical and/or communications sectors)
• Have worked preciously on major construction sites
• Hold a Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or other)
• Hold a current drivers licence with own transport
• Hold appropriate licences, tickets or attainments in civil operations
• Have experience leading/supervising work crews
• Have great verbal and written communication skills
• Be fit for work and able to participate in laboring duties
