ABOUT US:

THE ROLE:
Working closely with the General Manager, your duties include but are not limited to:
- Managing projects from initial brief through to handover up to $10M
- Inputting and updating cost control systems, budgets, forecast costs etc
- Developing, maintaining and evaluating project programmes
- Evaluating and implementing processes, margin and quality improvements wherever possible
- Negotiating with Trades and delivering project profitability
- Ensuring onsite safety in accordance with compliance regulations
- Management of staff and subcontractors
- Working to Australian standards and contract law
- Managing and developing a strong relationship with all stakeholders
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Formal qualifications in Building, Construction or Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the commercial fit-out and refurbishment sector
- In-depth understanding of the design and construction process
- Solid experience using MS Project, Excel, and Word
- Ability to demonstrate strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Sound knowledge of project management techniques including performance assessment, project evaluation and review techniques, value management and quality assurance, procurement methodologies, project organisation and communication
- Experience leading and mentoring a team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and organisation skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement
