About the Role
You will be part of the Fleet and Resource team and will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of the resource pool. In order to assist with the construction and maintenance works you will be required to schedule plant bookings and communicate with external hire suppliers and other Council departments.
Reporting to the Resource Coordinator, you will:
- manage and supervise resource allocation or scheduling;
- assist the Work Supervisors and Coordinators in the allocation of resources and advanced planning of resource requirements;
- uphold ethical work standards for team members working within teams and on individual assignment;
- promote and apply safe work practices within the team.
About you
The successful applicant will have:
- have proven experience in allocation/scheduling, dry/wet hire management, contractor management and maintenance scheduling;
- technical knowledge relating to road construction, plant operation and maintenance;
- a demonstrated ability to execute the works schedule within agreed timeframes and budgets;
- leadership experience and the ability to allocate tasks to the resource crews;
- a dedication for actively promoting the safety first culture of WDRC;
- a relevant Certificate IV in Civil Construction or Mechanical Trade, or demonstrated equivalent experience; and
- be physically fit and enjoy manual labour.
