Your new company
A Local Council based in Melbourne’s South East requires a Graduate Project Manager to join their team. This local council is eager to develop a Graduate in the buildings space to help deliver capital works projects.
Your new role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Offer support with administration tasks including purchase orders, construction plans and timelines
- Provide internal consultation on compliance issues
- Investigate building permits and obtain these when necessary
- Communicate with contractors on defects and rectification works
- Provide internal consultation across other departments and user groups
- Assist in getting minor capital works projects approved and provide assistance to other Project Managers on delivery
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience within the building industry as a Graduate Project Manager with relevant qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, construction or a related field.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Ability to prioritise and organise multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work autonomously and report back to a team on project progress.
- A positive and energetic work commitment.
- Enthusiastic to learn new skills and develop project management skills.
