About the role

The Company is seeking a confident person to manage and be involved in current projects up to $5 million. Working closely with the company director and business manager, the candidate will manage, and be involved in all aspects of the projects. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Estimating
• Cost reporting and forecasting
• Construction Programming – Competence with MS Project a must
• Document control
• Aiding in preparing progress claims
• Liaise between office and with employees on site and subcontractors 
• Procurement
• Sourcing and ordering material
• Problem solving
• Involvement in tendering including assisting in preparing cost estimates
• Invoice approvals
• Contribution to the building of methodologies and systems for tender and project management
• Client and architect liaison

Skills and experience

• Min 3-5 years local experience in the construction industry
• Residential building experience preferred
• Ideally tertiary qualified with a degree in construction management
• Solid technical knowledge of the construction process
• Understanding of construction project programming and scheduling
• Attention to detail
• Trade background with relevant experience will be considered 
• Knowledge of Procore software beneficial, but not crucial
• Effective communicator
• Ability to think outside the box 
• Efficient, organized and independent
