This role will be engaged as the lead commercial manager on Clarence Correctional Centre PPP project, managing both upstream and downstream commercial and claims issues, complex stakeholder relationships and a challenging completion requirements. Based outside Grafton in Northern New South Wales, this is a key leadership role that focuses on all commercial aspects of the project. Reporting to the Project Director you will take the lead in managing the projects financial position. Your remit will add value to the project through proactive involvement in the management of procurement, cost management, revenue management and project reporting.

Key accountabilities for this role include:
 

• Develop and mentor the commercial team to ensure that the commercial requirements of the project are successfully delivered.

• Provide advice in commercial matters to project team as needed e.g. claims, contractual issues, contractual correspondence, disputes, preparing subcontract terms and conditions, and setting up administration procedures on and off site with accounting.
• Ensure strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of both costs and revenue, including the establishment and implementation of earned value; take corrective action in line with authority and reporting frameworks and maximise the profit margin for the project.
• Manage commercial issues, minor and major contract disputes and claims and report on issues to project and senior management.
