About Petrol Services Australia

Starting out as a small family-owned business operating out of South Australia, Petrol Services Australia (PSA) has grown to be one of the largest privately-owned service providers in Australia.

Servicing all the major oil companies in all states and territories throughout Australia; our family has grown significantly over the last few years.

PSA is a facilities management company with our business specialty being around the installation and maintenance of retail and depot fuel storage and dispensing systems including new builds as well as upgrades to current sites for some of Australia’s largest fuel retailers.

Due to continued growth, we are now looking to recruit a new member to our family to help us expand and provide total satisfaction to our customers.

 

Who you will be working with -

The role of Estimator will be based out of our office in Yatala, Queensland, you will be working with our project teams to supporting our efforts nationally.

 

What you will be doing -

Our business has seen extraordinary growth over the last few years and we are looking for an individual dedicated to assisting in the delivery of current and future Retail and Depot fuel storage and dispensing systems projects. 

Your role will include;

  • Providing accurate pricing, estimating Bill of Quantities and drafting estimates.
  • Maintaining and producing project records and reports.
  • Interpreting plans and completing take-offs.
  • Completion of tender requests and submissions.
  • Following up on quotes and tenders.
  • Liaising with clients to convert tenders into contracts.
  • Track expenses during course of the project.
  • Procurement including producing purchase orders and assisting site supervisors to achieve quality and competitive pricing outcomes.
  • Understanding Australian Standards, applicable Legislation as well as Customer Standards to implement changes as needed into the business.
  • You will be working with computer systems as well as following and building logical structures for digital documentation.
  • Requesting and reviewing supplier quotes.

Minimum requirements for the role -

  • Solid time management skills and the ability to organise and prioritise own workload and within a small team environment with a low need for direct supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven success with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with great communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to fully understand drawing, details and scope of works.
  • Ability to thoroughly quote accurately as per scope of works.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in estimating.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to self-manage and take ownership of solutions.
  • A high level of administrative and organisational skill incorporating a high level of computer literacy.
  • Experience in creating and implementing documentation and processes in a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to meet work deadlines and be able to perform under pressure.

 Our ideal candidate would also possess -

  • Experience working with Australian Standards or other technical documentation or regulations.
  • Formal qualification in Estimating (minimum Certificate IV).
  • Comfort in learning and using various computer systems, i.e. working with Excel formulas and functions.
  • Strong work ethic and organisational skills.
  • Ability to think outside the box.
