Position Summary:

Our client is one of Australia’s largest insurers! The Field Contractor Manager is responsible for performing site inspections of domestic insurance repairs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform site inspections at various stages of construction on maintenance repairs, new building works and insurance repairs.
• Collate and report all evidence and findings summarising reports, scopes and costing for all associated works to complete the claims.
• Maintain safe work practices, inspecting and monitoring compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations
• Increase customer satisfaction with improvements in core service delivery process.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships across Tandem, suppliers, clients and subcontractors.
• Will be trained to carry out domestic building insurance inspections.
• Be able to determine cause of damage on a wide range of building insurance claims.
• Use systems and procedures to ensure you achieve the most effective costs and timeframes are met.

What we're looking for:

• A current driver’s license with a clean driving history
• Ability to complete site assessments such as inspecting roofs or confined spaces
• Previous estimating and supervising experience in the insurance repair industry
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure the highest quality of finishes from your trade team
• Experience in managing sub-contractors
• Electrical Trade qualification preferable
• OH&S White Card
• Asbestos Awareness qualification preferable
• Electrical Contractor Licence preferable
• A minimum 5 years broad domestic building trade background will be highly regarded
• A very broad knowledge of domestic building construction principles and pricing.
