Our client is looking to recruit a Project Manager (Contractor) with extensive experience of SMP, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. The company has gone through a change program and won a number of long term contracts with established mining businesses based in Western Australia.
To be considered for this key role you will need to be able to demonstrate a successful track record of delivering SMP Construction Projects on mine sites.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Manage and deliver multi-discipline SMP Construction Projects ranging up to $75m in value.
- Negotiate all contract terms, pricing and payment schedule.
- Manage all project costs and budgets.
- Lead procurement of project materials and all subcontractors.
- Manage all the subcontractors covering safety, performance and variations.
- Be the Company Representative to deal with any issues that occur with vendors or suppliers.
- Be a Safety Leader for the whole business, where you can influence others to deliver in the right manner.
Ideal Qualifications & Characteristics:-
- Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in related engineering discipline/construction management
- Proven experience with a minimum of 7 years in the mining industry from a Contractor background covering project management and leadership of jobs up to $100m.
- Experience of leading a site to deliver the highest safety standards and compliance.
- Strong financial knowledge to deliver the budgets and cash flow management.
- Knowledge of the WA Mines Legislation.
