UGL are recruiting for Mechanical / Electrical Project Managers to join the Asset Services team for construction projects in Sydney.

 

 

The Mechanical / Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the planning, support and management of all works associated with construction activities, specifically tunnel construction. The activities will involve preparatory planning and organisation of site works, co-ordination of subcontracts & suppliers, materials, plant and equipment for execution and liaising with client personnel to ensure work delivery to project budget and timeline.

 

 

To be successful in this role;

  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role;
  • Minimum 8 years' experience as a Superintendent, responsible for direct engagement of subcontractors, equipment and plant hire and supplier management of equivalent projects and sites;
  • Previous construction experience and within tunnels is preferred;
  • Strong communication skills – written and oral;
  • Strong IT skills in particulate MS Excel, MS Word and MS Project;
  • Strong understanding of industry typical HSSE procedures associated with site works; and
  • Excellent project controls management skills such as cost and schedule compliance to UGL expectations.
