Design & Builds client is a leading Civil Construction company delivering major projects nationwide across infrastructure sector. 

They have recently been awarded a contract by DTMR as part of the Bruce Highway Upgrade and are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to be based on site near Rockhampton. FIFO is on offer on a 5/2 rotation with accommodation and meal allowances .

Looking forward they are actively tendering on a number of projects in the $50-150m region - this is an excellent opportunity for the right person as there is the potential to grow and develop with a well known contractor.

As a Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for: 

• Manage project activities and work scope
• Liaise with Client, Subcontractors and all project stakeholders
• Acting as focal point for technical advice on contractual matters and providing Project Manager with best practice construction methods
• Ensure project is delivered in scope of contractual constraints
• Management of plant, labour and materials
• Monitor monthly forecasts

The requirements for the Senior Project Engineer are:

• Degree qualified as a Civil Engineer, Construction Management, or equivalent
• 5+ years experience in civil infrastructure construction, ideally with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor working as a Project Engineer
• Direct project experience in the Roads & Highway projects, ideally working on TMR projects
• Effective communications skills and  experienced in client and sub-contractor management
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
