About the Wind Farm:
Located in Western Victoria, within 20 minutes of Ararat (205km west of Melbourne). The full turnkey project includes 39 of Senvion's MM92 wind turbine generators and associated Balance of Plant.
The site involves challenging terrain that will require extensive and complex civil and electrical works in addition to the over dimensional transport and installation of the turbine components.
About the role:
Reporting to the WEC Construction Manager, your role as Technical Adviser will see you play a pivotal role in supervising the turbine installation works onsite including QA of installed and completed turbines and checking of incoming turbine components for damage and quality.
You will act as an interface between Senvion’s customers, C&I Contractors, Construction Manager, transport contractor and Senvion’s customers.
Your role will be busy and varied and you will be accountable for:
- Acting as a specialist adviser and subject matter expert for installation and completion of Senvion’s wind turbines and all associated products, tools and methods;
- Providing the customer and their construction team with assistance, knowledge and support in regards to turbine installation;
- Monitoring sub-contractors compliance with relevant instructions, specifications, safety systems and quality;
- Reporting of discrepancies to the NCR Coordinator and site management team; and,
- Documentation of outstanding work and defect lists and coordinating punch lists.
Our site team will also include a Site Manager, Site Administrator, Site HSE Coordinator, Civil and Electrical Site Supervisor, WEC Construction Manager, Commissioning and Testing Supervisor.
You will be located onsite at the wind farm near Ararat VIC.
What you will bring:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- An Electrical or Mechanical Trade qualification;
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role with a focus on installation and quality monitoring within the Wind sector or equivalent;
- Sound knowledge of cranes, transport and mechanical/electrical plant:
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to working in compliance with OHS/WHS Legislation;
- Strong administrative skills including competency with MS Word and Excel;
- Highly developed written, verbal communication skills; and
- A current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence.

Travel to our Melbourne CBD offices may be required from time to time.
