Contracts / General Manager

Major civil contractor operating on projects all throughout NSW are now in the market seeking a contracts / general manager to join their busy team. This is a really exciting role working closely within a great team offering a very lucrative salary package.

Duties for this contracts / general manager role include:

• Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders ensuring top class representation of the business
• Provision of on site contract management
• Provide advice to the contract team on contractual issues
• Dealing with project claims
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to
• Managing key client accounts and developing new business
• Provision of recommendations to reduce liability
• Negotiating with clients and suppliers to finalise contracts

Role requirements:

• Tertiary qualified in construction management or civil engineering
• 7 years contract management experience on civil projects
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills
• Sub division experience essential
• Commercially astute self starter
• Strong experience on fast paced civil projects with high attention to detail
