Estimating Manager Job in Glen Waverley where you'll be responsible for 2 Estimators and Commercial projects
Your new company
My client are a well-established Tier 3 Commercial builder with over 30 years of proven success. This company have a widely diverse project range including commercial, educational, health, community, industrial and infrastructure circa $20M. They have a great sense of determination and enthusiasm and pride themselves on their strong ability to deliver quality to their clients. With 2 Estimators in the office, an Estimating Manager is required to join the team in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs.
Your new role
- Business Development and client relationship strengthening
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Budget Development and submission
- Detailed and comprehensive quantity take-off
- Cost evaluation, risk evaluation and bid submission
- Management of the 2 existing Estimators in the team
- Final approval of budgets produced by the team
What you'll need to succeed
- A strong background in estimating at a senior level
- Strong leadership experience within the construction industry
- A tertiary qualification relevant to construction or similar
- Previous experience in an estimating role with a Melbourne based builder
- Experience using Buildsoft software
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail
- A technical understanding of all facets of the building process
