Our Commercial & Industrial division are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join the team based in our St Kilda Road Office. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Contracts Administrator in conjunction with the Project Manager, will be responsible for the contractual, commercial and financial management of projects in accordance with the project objectives.  

As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include but not be limited to:

  • Assisting the Project Manager in all aspects of the Design process as required
  • Ensuring all activities with regards to project construction are undertaken and completed in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and assisting Site Management and the Project Manager as required
  • Managing and preparing all required tenders, contracts, variations and payments and progress claims strictly in accordance with the QMS and the relevant legal documents for each project
  • Preparing and uploading budgets in conjunction with estimating break down, including budget variations, transfers and cost journals as required throughout the project
  • Understanding the financial performance of the project, including early identification of areas of potential exposure and opportunities
  • Preparing monthly reports and claims  Project Development (MPD) Reports and ensure they are accurate and submitted in a timely manner for review
  • Taking and issuing minutes from various different Project meetings
  • Subcontractor management from a Health, Safety & Environment, contractual and financial perspective

As the ideal applicant you will possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar contracts administrator role preferably in the construction and/or property development industry
  • Strong financial, budgeting & project forecasting skills
  • Competent use of all relevant software including; SAP, Aconex, Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
