Due to project expansion, Downer is seeking a field based Quality Auditor to join the Telstra Wideband Project team, reporting into the Derrimut, VIC office. This is a permanent, full time position that will see you conducting field based audits on sites to ensure quality and national standards are being met by Construction Partners and Downer employees. You will engage with construction partners regularly to discuss documentation and processes with the objective to collaborate towards alignment of document standards.
Our ideal candidate will have a civil/telecommunications background as well as a consultative approach. A thorough understanding of optic fibres and its application combined with civil excavation, hauling and trenching will be essential.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in the same or similar position
- Certificate IV in OHS/WHS or equivalent as well as auditing experience
- Thorough understanding of current risk, health, safety and quality practices & tools
- Ability to work autonomously and “work with others” to enable coaching and developing rather than a “directing nature”
- Experience in the Telecommunications, Construction or Utilities industry
