Your new organisation
Your new organisation is a leader in the civil construction industry and are currently working on major projects in the Toowoomba region. Your new organisation is seeking an experienced Cost Control Engineer to join their team.
Your new role
In your new role you will be responsible for managing and controlling project costs of a major civil project in the Toowoomba region. You will be reporting to the Finance Manager and assisting area managers with monthly production and month end accruals/provisions for the project. Liaising with site administrators you will ensure all accruals and provisions are entered into the system accurately and have the appropriate cost code allocations. You will support the construction teams with reporting structures and requirements, forecasting, timetable guidance and transparency. You will be responsible for managing cost transfers and entering project budgets into the system along with monitoring subcontractor payment claims and invoice processing. You will also be responsible for coordinating project progress claims and client invoices with the Site Technical Team.
To be successful
To be successful in this role you will have at least five years’ experience in a senior cost management position along with a bachelor of engineering qualification. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with previous experience working on major infrastructure projects. You will have the ability to negotiate and liaise with a broad range of stakeholders along with strong attention to detail.
