About the Role:
We are seeking a Lead Surveyor to work on a prestigious and long-term construction project in Sydney. Project work entails coordinating with the contractor and conducting surveys for earthworks, concrete and steel structures, drainage, services, roads and associated construction works. You will be site based and lead a team of Surveyors.
Duties:
- Reporting to the General Manager at Head Office
- Attending site meetings
- Liaising with the Planners, Drafters and Design teams
- Allocation of works to your Survey team
- Conducting daily surveys
- Ensuring accurate work is maintained and kept on schedule
- Conducting pre and post pour surveys
- Conducting as-builts
- Maintain survey equipment
- Keep accurate records
- Maintaining a high level of OH&S
About the Requirements:
- Formal Surveying qualifications
- Ideally have 4+ years survey knowledge
- Be Sydney based or be prepared to relocate
- Construction and/or civil survey experience
- Large scale project experience will be an advantage
- Can lead a team of Surveyors
- Be a good mentor to your team
- Proficient with Total Station and GPS equipment
- Experience of using software such as 12D & AutoCAD (others will be beneficial)
- Lead by example on site
