Company

Our client is working on major infrastructure projects in Sydney and requires a Contracts Manager / Commercial Manager on a full time permanent basis. The project involves complex civil construction work and is highly challenging. It is due to go for the next three to four years with flow on work after this but the role is long term managing the growth of the business. They require a lead Contracts person to assist the project team in delivery of the works and managing the contracts team across the project.


The person


The person will ideally have worked on major construction projects and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with the Operations Manager, Project Managers, project teams and the corporate team to ensure accurate assessment of the commercial standing of their projects.
 
 
To be successful in this role you should have;

• a qualification in engineering, legal or accounting discipline ideally
• worked with a construction company
• experience on major civil infrastructure project
• strong mentoring and leadership skills
• attention to detail
• solid understanding of contracts
• negotiation skills

 
 
Remuneration

This role is paying a market high base salary and will allow you to work with some of the strongest engineering and contracts specialists in the market. This project will involve major iconic projects and the company has an excellent hard working culture who also value work life balance. The delivery team have all had experience delivering mega construction projects.
