Junior Project Manager job with D&C Fit-out & Refurbishment client based in the Northern suburbs, $90k - $110k
Your new company
I’m currently working with a well know national commercial fit-out and refurbishment contractor with a healthy portfolio of projects in the following sectors: educational, government, retail, leisure and health. With project values typically ranging between $500k - $20m in the Victorian market and a strong history of successfully developing Junior PM's into self-standing Project Managers, this is an excellent opportunity to for an ambitious Junior to further their knowledge and experience in the current market.
Your new role
Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, you will be required to:
- Review and develop scope of work packages
- Obtaining quotations from various sub-contract trades, comparing and contrasting each in order to maximize project cost efficiency.
- Aiding in negotiation and contractual claims
- Effectively liaise with the client and sub-contractors to ensure the smooth running of each project
- Assist in cash flow reporting and management
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Construction Management or a construction related field
- Possess a minimum of 1-2 years experience in the construction industry
- Have an excellent work ethic
- You must be able to work to tight time constrains with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
