Electrical Services Account Manager- Large Electrical Contractor
Your new company
Recent changes to the service team have now generated a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to look after a series of prestigious and well known sites across Melbourne. Reporting directly to the director of service and maintenance this role will see you take responsibility for quoting and estimating upgrades, installations and replacement of commercial electrical equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the contract is run on budget and tailored to the customers’ needs; to help you achieve this will manage a team of electrical technicians, supervisors and admin/contract support staff.
Your new role
The successful candidate will have full P&L responsibility and they will need to be able to develop the business by compiling and completing the best possible quotations in order to win tenders. You will achieve this by regularly liaising with builders and consultants to accurately estimate the costs of labour and materials during the tendering and construction phase.
You will also have a responsibility to follow up on tenders and you will have a proactive approach and commitment to successfully secure projects for the company.
What you'll need to succeed
• Manage specified works and activities as part of the maintenance contract and project works
• Coordinate and manage electricians on a day to day basis regarding building activities on site
• Ensure we comply with OH&S policies and procedures
• Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding various maintenance contracts and projects and the delivery program
• Estimate and Quote works on site
• Work with site customers on a daily basis to upgrade and complete daily maintenance activities
• To be considered for this role you will have an electrical trade or electrical engineering background coupled with extensive experience in a project management role.
• An understanding of building services and the ability to develop and assess technical proposals, liaise with consultants and customers and supervise the implementation of building services projects and programs.
• Well developed project management skills including financial reporting, delivery of services and working with consultants, and management of multiple projects concurrently.
