Reporting to the General Manager, Design and Construction, the Commercial & Procurement Manager will work closely with both the CEO and General Manager on managing all site-based project schedules, budgets, approval and acquisition processes. 

Your knowledge and expertise will play a pivotal role in increasing margins with a focus on streamlining processes. You will have exceptional negotiation skills and commercial acumen with a focus on continuous improvement.

We are specifically looking for a procurement and contracts professional from the construction world. 

Responsibilities of the role include: 

  • Work with SMT on commercial and contractual strategies, ensuring all construction is in-line with budgetary and schedule commitments. 
  • Provide specialist advice to project teams. 
  • Effective contract management for prime contract and subcontracts. 
  • Develop and implement standard contract terms and conditions for subcontractors and suppliers
  • Deliver commercial controls across the business from the sales and estimating stage, through to each operation and department, ensuring that commercial targets are delivered and financial gains are realised
  • Develop and implement procurement strategy to streamline the supplier network, to lessen costs and ensure consistency
  • Review and implement inventory management and sourcing strategies
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
  • Audit performance or contracts/relationships
  • Provide pre-contract checks, reporting and attend project review meetings

  • Significant experience in a similar role/capacity from within the construction industry (medium density multi-residential, commercial)
