Commercial Manager
Due to imminent growth my client, a leading contract construction company with a number of major projects throughout Australia is seeking a Commercial Manager to focus specifically on their defence portfolio. This role will be based in Darwin.
The Commercial Manager, must be able to demonstrate their ability to communicate effectively, including negotiation and conflict resolution, consultant, internal and external stakeholders and work on a daily basis with multiple subcontractors. Coupled with this, you will have considerable experienced working across large and complex defence projects in excess of $300M +. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional who is looking for a staff role, working on long term projects.
To be successful you will have:
- You will have worked for a top tier contractor, working on large projects
- Tracking record of working within a commercial management role on large projects in excess of $300M+.
- Extensive experience of managing high value claims and contracts post award
- Exceptional risk management skills
- You must have experience with managing contractor type contracts.
- Experience of management and leadership of a diverse commercial contracts team throughout a multibillion dollar project.
- Experience of holding responsibility for a multibillion dollar project budget on defence projects.
- Degree Educated, preferably within a legal, accounting or construction discipline
- Expert safety management and commercial management of major mining works
- Financial protocol establishment and Project cost control management
- Control and coordination of complex invoices and claims on a projects
- Experience of leading and negotiating agreements, Coordination, mediation on various claims and disputes
- You must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this role.
