Lendlease’s Engineering business is currently enjoying significant growth, with major projects such as WestConnex 3A ramping up and existing projects in delivery, including NorthConnex, The Northern Road and Garden Island Upgrade. Based in Sydney, we are seeking a Cost Planning Manager to bring commercial rigour to our projects in design and delivery.
As a Cost Planning Manager, you will lead, mentor and manage a team of Cost Planning resources to develop accurate and detailed cost plans during the design phase of our projects, to ensure project budgets are met; taking a hands-on approach to cost planning to support the cost planning team in delivery.
You will interface with our Estimating team to develop design package budgets, and provide high level cost planning advice to projects to inform decision making. You will play a key role in the value engineering process, and be pro-active in identifying opportunities to optimise the design process. The role will also require you to develop, and present informative and accurate cost planning reports for key stakeholders within the business.
Ideally you will have relevant qualifications, and significant experience managing teams in the fields of Cost Planning, Estimating, Quantity Surveying, or a similar discipline within the construction and infrastructure sector. You will have been exposed to large and complex projects, gaining pre-contract and post-contract experience in cost planning, and providing cost advice to influence design and effectively manage project budgets. You will be an effective communicator, and collaborator who is able to develop strong relationships within the business to ensure effective delivery of cost planning objectives on our projects.
