About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Project Manager will lead, plan, resource, drive and control project delivery in accordance with the Prime Build systems, procedures, policies and values. The Project Manager will develop a construction strategy and program to ensure effective planning and monitoring of projects and will undertake effective risk analysis to mitigate any project risks. The Project Manager will have a high regard for safety and will actively seek to reduce risk and support the health and safety of staff throughout the project.
Required Qualifications, Performance & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in construction management or other relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable.
- Five years or more experience in the construction industry as a Project Manager essential.
- Experience in Retail facing projects highly desirable.
- Knowledge of location government approvals process including Development/Planning and Building/Construction approvals.
- Sound understanding of project management methodologies.
- Excellent budget management skills and a proven track record of achieving projects within/under budget.
- Excellent client-management and communication skills, adept at negotiating and resolving issues at all levels.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, working with subcontractors to resolve issues/delays and achieve excellent outcomes.
- Solid time management and organisational skills with the ability to respond flexibly to changes in scope, time frames etc.
- Proficiency in relevant software packages (e.g. Procore, Jobpac, Microsoft Project)
