About the business and the role
 
Rapidly expanding company with 20 plus years of market, this highly regarded commercial advisory consultancy to the built environments is going from strength to strength.

Their mandate is to work on large complex, interesting and amazing projects and they love those that can support, collaborate and contribute to their team. They are currently in the market for a QS / Cost Planner with exposure to education, aged care, health or institutional projects to join the Vic Team.
 
Job tasks and responsibilities

• Detailed budget and cost plans
• Contract administration
• Cost estimates and cost management services
• Bills of Quantities
• Feasibility studies
• Tender evaluations and negotiations
• Value management
• Cost planning and estimating during the design phase
• Construction phase cost management
• Cash flow forecasting
• Assisting with feasibility studies, capital cost advice
• Life-cycle costing
• Preparation and evaluation of Risk Registers

Skills and experience

• Quantity Surveyor or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience either in estimating, cost planning or quantity surveying
• Experience with measurement software such as Cost X or Buildsoft will be highly regarded
• Experienced in providing both pre & post contact QS services
• Experienced in institutional projects such as aged care, health, education or justice projects
