D&B are working with a leading builder in relation to the search for an Estimator on projects up to $250M. Our client works across a wide variety of large residential & commercial projects and also fit out. They have a large Estimating team ranging from Senior to intermediate so looking for a well-rounded Estimator that has worked on high rise and commercial projects ideally over $25m.

The Role:

• All aspects of sales and production estimating for projects where no two projects will ever be the same
• Provide co-ordination between Architect Design and final Construction Team
• The preparation and costing variation documentations 
• Deal with CC, DA and OC council requirements 
• Develop and detail projects for Structural design and check for cost savings in designs and/or construction techniques 
• Using industry and trade knowledge ascertain if drawn proposals can be built and determine most cost effective construction methods 
• Negotiation for the purchasing of all materials/ trade negotiations 
• Advise on any impact of new building regulations & standards on the products they are using or the method of construction
• The updating and ordering of projects in Databuild including the creation of items and recipes 

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years' of experience Estimating experience working on highrise or commercial construction in Australia
• A thorough understanding of construction processes, purchasing and pricing for residential projects
• A trade background in Carpentry or relevant tertiary qualification
• Excellent man management skills and the ability to multi task
• Experience using and maintaining estimating software and databases, preferably Databuild
• Working knowledge of applicable building codes
• English language literacy and fluency
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Offices programs
