You will be pricing and tendering on projects up to $100M in value which will be a mix of commercial works across the State. The Opportunity

Due to work load and a growing QLD operation this company are seeking an Estimator to join their amazing team. This opportunity would see you tendering on projects upto $100mil across the commercial space. This role will suit someone who has commercial building experience and has been in an estimating role for a minimum of 5 years. You will also be involved in cost planning and managing multiple tenders, whilst being supported from a strong administration team.

Key Duties

• Prepare take-offs and tender estimates
• Preparation of cost estimates for tenders
• Reviewing, preparing and submitting tender documents for projects
• Develop strategies for winning tenders
• Provide high-quality tender and cost plan submissions
• Attend tender meetings
• Manage resources to ensure the timely competition of tenders/submissions
• Maintain subcontractor database

Key Requirements

• Tertiary Qualifications in Construction or QS
• Must have recent experience in the building construction industry
• You will have demonstrated experience in tendering larger projects
• You will have a solid network and relationships with sub-contractors in the Brisbane market
• Knowledge and experience in the construction process and the ability to read drawings 
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Ideally you will have experience using Buildsoft software
• Well-developed communication skills
